Overview
An increasing number of investors are expressing interest in investments that generate market-rate returns and
create positive social impact. In this gathering, a select number of investors, donors and philanthropists examine
the equity markets and specific private equity opportunities through a hard economic lens. We ask: What demographic,
political and sustainability trends are driving the investment thesis? In what markets are the new opportunities found? How is the evaluation of these investments similar to or different from others in their asset class?
In light of these investment opportunities, we explore the current response and future plans of Chief Investment
Officers and family foundations. Come hear founders of family foundations speak candidly about their exploration
and decisions to incorporate (or not) social investing into their portfolios. They discuss their thoughts throughout
the process, expectations for risk and return, and how these investments integrate into their overall philanthropic and
investing strategy.
